European Showcase and Food Drive

Organized by Team Foreign Objects, a Hawaii European Car Club, this event brings together Euro enthusiasts from across the island to put on a car show and food drive. What started five years ago as a small, grass-roots food drive and car show, continues to grow and maintain its status as Oahu’s only All-Euro showcase. This year we are proud to announce that Podium Raceway Hawaii will be hosting the event at their Kapolei facility. All proceeds from this fun, family-orientated car event benefit the Hawaii Foodbank.

This Year’s Goal

The collection goal this year is to reach the 500lbs of donated food. Last year, the event collected more than 400lbs of donated food. With your help in 2011, we can reach the 500lb goal together! This event helps the foodbank accomplish their mission of providing food so that no one in our ohana goes hungry.

TENTS
NO personal tents are allowed WITHIN the event area. Only official vendor tents will be permitted in the event area. The primary reason is to eliminate the possibility of property damage due to improperly secured tents. Secondly, we would like to provide an unobstructed area for spectators to walk around and view cars.

However, there will be designated areas for personal tents and BBQs to be setup. These areas will be across the street in shaded grassy areas. Please see an Event Volunteer for personal tent guidance on the day of the show.

PARKING
First and foremost, we ask that everyone please respect the marked handicapped stalls located in the primary parking lot of Podium Raceway. That same primary parking lot will also be reserved for Podium Raceway customers only. Show & Shine spectators will park in the large lot located on the other side of the Podium Raceway facility or across the street. Event Volunteers will be present to guide spectators to the correct parking areas.

FOOD & DRINK
A lunch wagon will be present at the event. Jamba Juice will also be present. Jamba Juice has pledged to donate all sales profits to the Hawaii Foodbank on behalf of the event. Please support our food vendors!

VENDORS
Many local businesses will be present at the show. Learn more about their products and services by visiting their booths. You can even pick up some exclusive clothing or automobile detailing supplies that day. Please support our vendors!

DOOR PRIZES
We ask that everyone bring a canned food donation to the event. In exchange for your donation you will be given a ticket to win one of the many donated door prizes. Increase your chances of winning by donating as much as you can.

1 canned good (even if it’s a can of Vienna Sausage) = 1 ticket

Most Slammed: For the static-dropped car that measures-in with the lowest fender to ground #. *TFO judged.

Most Horsepower: Participants must provide a dyno sheet for his or her car. *TFO judged.

Proper Stance: Wheel + Drop Combination. Does it fit YOUR taste? Slammed vs Sporty, Poke vs Tuck, Hellaflush vs Sortaflush, Polished Wheels vs Painted Wheels, Forged vs Multi-piece; It’s all about what YOU like!

Nice ICE: In Car Entertainment

Nice Rack!: For cars with roof racks – Get the crowd’s attention with something mounted on your roof rack. Maybe some classic/retro ice coolers… or how about a pink girls bike with streamers on the handle bars… or if it’s even possible, your dried up christmas tree that you’ve been too lazy to throw away LOL. Looking for creativity and some humor in this special award.

Up & Comer: For rides that are under construction. *TFO judged

Car Limbo: An award will be given to the car who can limbo (drive) under the bar the lowest! *TFO judged

Speed Demons: Clubs, forums, groups, friends will form up/team up in this head to head competition for bragging rights. A team of 3 members will race around the go-kart track and their fastest laps will be tallied and averaged. The team with the fastest average lap time of the day wins! *TFO judged
